Pinterest ads through Amazon and Google buying platforms: reported access and what buyers need to know
PPC Land reports Pinterest programmatic access through Amazon and Google buying platforms in three regions. The official Google sources checked confirm general DV360 infrastructure and controls, but do not corroborate the Pinterest launch, regional availability or commercial terms.
- PPC Land reports selected Pinterest display and video inventory through DSPs, with Magnite as the primary supply partner.
- The report names North America, South America and Asia Pacific. That regional coverage remains unverified, and European availability is not established.
- Google confirms DV360 connectivity with Magnite SpringServe, Magnite DV+ and Google Ad Manager, not this Pinterest launch.
- DV360 has partner level exchange controls, configurable automatic targeting of new exchanges and deal acceptance workflows. These do not confirm Pinterest inventory access.
Personal Take, John IliopoulosBuying Pinterest through a familiar DSP could make an agency's life easier. It still has to earn its place in the client's budget. I like the prospect of bringing more inventory into an existing buying workflow, particularly when the team is already stretched. But easier buying tells me very little about whether the traffic will produce more sales at an acceptable CPA.
PPC Land reports access across North America, South America and Asia Pacific, with Magnite as the main supply partner. The official Google documentation checked does not confirm that Pinterest rollout. There is not enough here to promise a European client access, but equally, the regions named in the report are not proof that Europe is formally excluded. I'd want the seller to confirm the available placements, markets, deal terms and total buying cost before putting this into a media plan.
The commercial question is whether this adds useful reach or simply gives us another route to inventory we could already buy. Which placements would we get, and what would we lose or gain compared with the existing Pinterest plan? A simpler workflow has genuine value, but with a tight budget, convenience cannot be the whole case for moving spend.
There is no reason to start changing DV360 exchange settings just because the headline mentions Magnite. Google documents those controls at partner level, and disabling an exchange stops all line items from targeting its inventory. Automatic targeting of new exchanges is also configurable, so this is not simply a matter of manually switching access on for each campaign. Those are general buying controls, not confirmation that a Pinterest deal is available or commercially approved.
Once access is confirmed, a comparison with the existing Pinterest plan needs to cover placement coverage, fees and measurement, not just the price quoted for the media. I'd follow the traffic and sales through analytics tools or advanced CRM reporting rather than assume that buying everything through one DSP makes the results easier to judge. If this brings genuinely useful reach at a sensible CPA, it deserves a test. If it just makes the same buy easier to administer, value that saving honestly rather than calling it a performance improvement.
Questions people ask
Can I buy Pinterest ads through Google DV360?
PPC Land reports that selected Pinterest display and video inventory is available through DV360. The official Google sources checked confirm exchange connections with Magnite SpringServe, Magnite DV+ and Google Ad Manager, but do not confirm Pinterest inventory availability.
Are Pinterest programmatic deals available in Europe?
European availability remains unverified. PPC Land names North America, South America and Asia Pacific and gives no European launch date, but that does not establish a formal exclusion or prove that no date has been announced elsewhere.
How do I accept a programmatic deal in DV360?
In DV360, open Inventory, then Negotiations, and review deals marked Action required to accept or archive them. Accepted deals appear in My Inventory. Deals synced through Google Ad Manager must be accepted before appearing in My Inventory or Targeting. This is Google's documented deal workflow, not a verified Pinterest onboarding or approval process.
