Personal Take, John Iliopoulos

An AI advertising headline is enough to get my attention, but not enough to get budget. We do not have the article text here, so I cannot tell whether this concerns media buying, creative production or something else. Those are very different stories for a PPC account, and treating them as the same thing would be a mistake.

If this does turn out to introduce a buying opportunity, I can see the appeal of reaching people while they are working through a purchase decision. But conversational engagement would not, by itself, prove commercial intent. I would want to know what advertisers can measure, which conversion signals are available and whether reported acquisitions can be reconciled with actual sales or CRM outcomes. A promising cost per lead can look much less attractive once qualified CPL and conversion lag catch up.

For now, I would leave existing budgets alone and verify the product details first. What would change my mind is a clear route to a capped test with dependable conversion tracking and a sensible comparison against marginal CPA in the current account. A new channel does not have to beat every established campaign immediately, but it does need to show why the next pound belongs there rather than in demand we already know how to convert.

Questions people ask

has OpenAI announced a new AI advertising platform?

The supplied material does not establish that OpenAI has announced a new AI advertising platform. It provides an article title and source URL, but the source snapshot returned HTTP 403 and contains no article text.

can I buy ads through OpenAI after this announcement?

Advertiser access cannot be confirmed from the available material. The article title alone does not establish whether there is an advertising product, who can use it or how buying would work.

should I move my Google Ads budget to OpenAI advertising?

This unverified report is not enough to justify moving Google Ads budget. Before considering a test, confirm product availability, conversion tracking and whether acquisition costs can be measured against your existing campaigns.
